Job Responsibilities :
Technical Work
o Installation of Security Systems (Cameras, Maglocks, and Card Readers).
o Installation and troubleshooting of various Access Control components such as panels, readers, strikes, mag locks, etc.
o Installation and troubleshooting of IP and analog cameras and NVRs.
o CCTV client software installation (PC and mobile) and configuration such as adding / deleting cameras, setting recording schedules, retrieving footage, etc.
o Access Control interface experience (adding / deleting credentials, setting door schedules, configuring access levels, etc.)
o IP networking (switches and routers, configuring port forwarding, etc.).
o Testing of installed equipment (card readers, cameras, alarm points, etc.).
o Programming and commissioning of security systems (Cameras, Access Control, Alarms).
o Installation and termination of security low voltage cabling (22 / 4, 20 / 4, CAT 5 / E, CAT 6).
o Termination of CAT 5 / E and CAT 6.
o Dress and route cable from IT closets to device locations (Cameras, Maglocks, Card Readers).
o Build out Security equipment racks.
o Cable pathway installation (J-hooks, D-rings).
o Cable management (dressing and labeling).
o Utilize computer programs including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; CCTV and access control systems; media storage.
o Read and follow blueprints set for installation.
o Must be able to teach / train end user (the Customer) on how to use the system upon completion of the installation.
o Follow written and oral communication displaying professionalism with colleagues and management.
o Follow safety guidelines and protocols (Proper PPE, clean up jobsite, OSHA).
Job Requirements :
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
- 2 years of commercial Security installation.
- 2 years of Access Control installation.
- 1 years of IP addressing and troubleshooting.
